We have spent so many seasons together.
Winter comes fast again.
I recall those dark and frozen mornings,
when in the twilight,
you go out to start and warm the car,
before coming in again to sip your coffee,
holding the cup between your hands
to give them a little warmth.
You then rush in the bedroom,
tell me 'have a nice day, see you tonight,'
while your hugs and kisses fondle me.
As spring pushes the winter away,
the twilight finds us still entwined,
sleeping dreams full of colours like
the green and the pink that
were only waiting to emerge.
Our summer arrives glorious,
dazzling us during the afternoon naps,
when nothing else matters.
The autumn wind warns us that
the green and the pink
are about to turn into brown.
We have spent so many seasons together.
And when the winter is back again,
it greets us happily because it sees that
our fire, devotion, and love
have not dissolved in between seasons.
